The popularity of Telangana slang in Telugu cinema has skyrocketed in the recent times with the success of films like Balagam and Mem Famous. Another small-budget film that made the most of the trend was Bheemadevarapally Branchi, a rural dramedy starring Anjibabu, Prasanna, Abhi Ram, Roopa Srinivas in key roles. The film, written and directed by Ramesh Cheppala, released this June.

After a brief theatrical run and earning decent reviews for its premise, Bheemadevarapally Branchi is gearing up for its OTT premiere. Leading OTT platform Amazon Prime Video has acquired its post-theatrical streaming rights. Nearly a month after its release, the film is expected to premiere on the streamer in the second half of July. The makers confirmed the news with a poster recently.

Jampanna, a naive villager hailing from Mallapur in the heartland of Telangana, mistakenly gets a huge sum of money deposited in his account and treats it as government's freebies. However, this perception ushers in a wave of new challenges in his life. The gripping tale unfolds as we witness how Jampanna rises from these setbacks, displaying resilience and determination.
