We hate to disappoint you. But the makers of Bheemla Nayak, starring Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati, have postponed the pre-release event of the movie. This is indeed disappointing news but the makers decided to do so to pay respect to an AP minister.
The makers of Bheemla Nayak decided to postpone the event, which was scheduled to take place today, due to the demise of Andhra Pradesh minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy. Sithara Entertainments took to social media to share the news. “Our deepest condolences to the family & friends of AP Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy garu on his sudden demise. As a mark of respect, the pre-release event of #BheemlaNayak won't be happening today!,” they tweeted.
Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy, who returned to Hyderabad on Sunday after spending 10 days in Dubai at Expo 2022, was rushed to Apollo Hospitals after he collapsed at his home in the early hours of Monday. The minister was declared dead at 9.16 am today.
The pre-release event, which was scheduled to start at 6.30 pm today at the Yousufguda Police Grounds in Hyderabad, was something the fans were eagerly looking forward to. The much-awaited trailer for Bheemla Nayak was also scheduled to release today following the event, at 8.10 pm.
Bheemla Nayak is written by Trivikram Srinivas and directed by Saagar K Chandra. The movie is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam action drama Ayyappanum Koshiyum, directed by the late Sachy and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead.
Bheemla Nayak also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, Samuthirakani, Brahmanandam, Murali Sharma and Raghu Babu among others. With music by S. Thaman and cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran, the movie is scheduled to hit theatres on February 25.
