Bhimaa, headlined by Gopichand, is all set make a grand entry at theatres in March
Telugu actor Gopichand’s much-anticipated film Bhimaa, which was initially slated to be released in February, will now be released on March 8. The makers of the upcoming film shared the update by unveiling a new poster of the actor. The poster showcases the macho star in a daring look, sporting a cop avatar. The actor is seen holding handcuffs, and walking ahead confidently even as the background is engulfed in flames. The poster reminds us of a cliche-ridden masala film with a predictable storyline, however, we would have to wait to know what exactly the A Harsha directorial has to offer.
The film’s music is being composed by Ravi Basrur who has scored for big ticket films like KGF, and he has been paid big bucks to do the film. The news is that Gopichand will be seen in a completely new avatar in this film. He already played a cop in Puri Jagan's Golimar but the makers claim that this time, it will be ‘something special’.
Popular Tamil actress Priya Bhavani Shankar, who forayed into Tollywood with Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, and Malvika Sharma, who is best known for Red and Nela Ticket, will be playing the leading ladies for this actioner.
Bhimaa is being produced on an extravagant budget and is said to feature intense emotions and high-energy sequences which are made to appeal to the masses. Swamy J Gowda is handling the cinematography, with Ramana Vanka as the production designer and Kiran as the editor. The dialogues are written by Ajju Mahankali, and the stunts are choreographed by Ram-Lakshman, Venkat, and Dr Ravi Varma. A Harsha had previously helmed successful films such as Bhajarangi, Bhajarangi 2, Vedha, Anjani Putra, and Vajrakaya.
Gopichand was last seen in Sriwass directorial Ramabanam, action drama, that failed at the box office. Fans are, however, hoping that his upcoming actioner will be able to capture the hearts of the audience.
