Bholaa: Ajay Devgn announces Hindi remake of the Karthi starrer Kaithi alongside Tabu

Ajay Devgn proudly announces Bholaa, the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaithi. The 2019 Karthi starrer movie is an action thriller film that has been helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Meanwhile, the upcoming Hindi movie, which also stars Tabu, is to be directed by Dharmendra Sharma.

The Bollywood star took the announcement to Twitter and shared a poster with an official statement. The quote mentioned on the poster reads, "Excited to share with all of of you. BHOLAA. The official remake of the Tamil superhit, Kaithi that has Tabu and me will release worldwide on March 30, 2023. The action drama is directed by Dharmendra Sharma. (sic)."

Ajay shared the poster on Twitter with a special caption that says that the actor is proud to announce his latest project.

The Karthi starrer follows the story of an ex-felony who embarks on a journey to meet his one and only daughter after stepping out of the jail, however, experiences multiple hurdles in his way. 

The Ajay starrer is expected to revolve around the same plot. While the Bollywood actor will be portraying the titular character as Karthi, Tabu will be seen in a major role.

According to the announcement, the Dharmendra Sharma directorial is scheduled to be out in cinemas on March 30, 2023.

Meanwhile, the Singham star is gearing up for his highly-anticipated release Runway 34 alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. He is also busy working on some of the big-budget future projects including the Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus, Maidaan, Thank God, and the most-awaited Drishyam 2, which also stars Tabu.
