Ajay Devgn is back with yet another adventure film - Bholaa. In the teaser released earlier today, the actor - who is known for his action-packed performances - is seen wielding the mighty trishul in a high-octane action sequence. The movie - also starring Tabu and Deepak Dobriyal - is yet another action film that seems to be inspired by Hindu mythology. But what’s more interesting is that Bholaa is going to be a film franchise.

Speaking at the second teaser launch of this much-awaited film, the actor-director - who had won the National Award in the ‘Best Actor’ category for his performance in the 2020 film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior - said, “Yes, Bholaa is planted as a film franchise. In fact, there is a surprise element in the end of the film, which will give you cues to Bholaa - Part 2."

Adding to to that, producer Bhushan Kumar - who has previously worked with Ajay in Tanhaji and Drishyam - said, “Bholaa is going to be a bigger release than Tanhaji and Drishyam, and I am hoping that its popularity will translate to box-office performance as well. The success is going to repeat. I am sure Bholaa will work big time.”

Also featuring actors Raai Laxmi, Sanjay Mishra and Makrand Deshpande, Bholaa is an official remake of the 2019 Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed Tamil film Kaithi. Amala Paul and Abhishek Bachchan will make also special appearances in the film. Bholaa is slated to hit the theatres March 30 this year.

The narrative follows the life of Bholaa, who was finally going home to meet his daughter after being imprisoned for 10 years, but he gets arrested mid-way again. In the teaser, Ajay says, "Jo baap 10 saal mai ek gudiya nahi de paya, voh baap ek raat mai duniya dene ki soch raha hai." There’s also a glimpse of Tabu in the teaser as a police officer.
