Ajay Devgn is all set to make his fourth stint in the director’s chair a memorable one indeed, with Bholaa. Fans’ wait for the highly anticipated film just got fired up when the makers dropped the exciting trailer of the same, which saw Ajay wield a Trishul and partake in some gravity defying action sequences, as well as spell doom for bad guys. The trailer of the film certainly got fans talking, and many of them took to Twitter to talk about it.

A number of people used the term ‘Mass’ to describe the trailer, which certainly seemed to depict the titular character as someone otherworldly indeed. Fans gushed over the background score and power packed dialogues in the trailer, and dubbed Ajay as the ‘Mass Maharaja’. Praising the visual effects and action sequences, some fans predicted that the film would be a superhit.

A number of netizens spoke of how the trailer gave them goosebumps. Saying that the film looked badass, one user wrote “Ajay Devgan never disappoints..Another blockbuster after Drishyam 2(sic)”.

But there were many who were not impressed with the trailer and expressed their disappointment with it. A number of netizens said that they preferred the teasers of the film over the trailer, saying that the visual effects of the trailer seemed to fall short. Despite criticising the film’s VFX, some fans were still hopeful that the film would live up to the hype.

The upcoming film is the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi (2019), which starred Karthi. A number of netizens compared Bholaa with Kaithi. One user complained that the Bollywood version seemed to be ‘Masalafied’, while another declared that the Hindi film would be ‘better and bigger’ than the original. Another spoke of how Tabu’s inclusion would add more depth to the film.

Bholaa will be released in cinemas on March 30.
