Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office collection: Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani’s movie has solid advance numbers

After months of anticipation, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hit theatres around the country today. With a lot of talk about how the movie will do at the box office, we now have numbers coming in about its advance booking. 

According to a report by Box Office India, the horror comedy has finished with a Rs. 7 crore nett in advance, which is a solid number. This number is still behind movies like RRR (Hindi), but S.S. Rajamouli’s movie came with a lot of fanfare and hype. 

The number produced by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is also behind the biographical sports drama 83. However, the report suggests that big cinema chains such as PVR and Cinepolis are lesser in numbers at places where the movie is doing well. The ticket sales are also reportedly higher everywhere other than the two chains mentioned above. 

The movie has now finished fourth in the list of movies with the best advance post pandemic, with KGF 2 (Hindi), 83, and RRR ahead of it in first, second and third positions respectively. 

There has been a lot of speculation over the box office performance of the sequel, considering that Bollywood has not had the best of years in terms of numbers. A sequel to the fan-favourite 2007 psychological horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the movie has a lot of expectations riding on it. 

While Kartik Aaryan headlines the movie, it also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles. The movie, directed by Anees Bazmee, has received mixed to positive reviews from critics following its release today. 

“Anees Bazmee brings back his comedy element, and it's worth the wait! Along with that, it's Tabu and Kartik Aaryan who take the film up a notch and will leave you impressed throughout. I can't forget about the music and background score, which have me hooked!” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is now available in theatres near you.
