Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 box office collections day 2: Kartik Aaryan starrer shows 35% growth on first Saturday

On Saturday, Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had another strong day, grossing 18 crore nett, bringing its two-day total to 31.50 crore nett. The film had a 35% increase across India, but some locations saw far higher increases. As per Box Office India, cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru saw growth of approximately 50%, with the latter experiencing even more. This was due to the fact that these locations were relatively inexpensive on Friday in comparison to other cities. The increase in Delhi NCR and East Punjab was also phenomenal.

The overall growth is tremendous, but the underlying tendency in certain places is better than the growth shows, indicating that the film will do well after the weekend. The film will be a hit, but that will have to wait until Monday to be confirmed, and if it is, it would place director Anees Bazmee among the greats in terms of longevity.

The trading website mentioned that the time between your first and last hit is known as longevity. Anees Bazmee's first hit was Pyar To Ho Hona Hi Tha in 1998, and now it'll be Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, 24 years later. David Dhawan, who had his first hit with Shola Aur Shabnam in 1992 and then Judwaa 2, 25 years later, was the most recent filmmaker to achieve anything comparable.

Manmohan Desai and Raj Khosla, two of the all-time greats, had 25 and 24 years between their first and last hits, respectively, and Raj Kapoor, the greatest of them all, had 36 years. There could be more names, but that will have to wait until the record books are checked.

According to the production house, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had a strong Saturday performance, bringing families together for this horror-comedy. With a strong rising trend, the film earned Rs 18.34 crore and the total collections are about Rs 32.45 crore.
