Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 box office collections day 9: Kartik Aaryan starrer hits a century on second Saturday

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had a fantastic Saturday, with its box office takings skyrocketing to approximately Rs 11 crore nett. This brings the film's total to Rs 107 crore nett, putting it on track to surpass the Rs 150 crore nett barrier.

As per Box Office India, the increase was widespread, with Hindi belt circuits leading the way, while larger multiplexes are a given on Saturday, and several theatres in major cities were more than double what they were on Friday. This big Saturday rise may mean less growth on Sunday, but at the very least, a Rs 30 crore nett second weekend should be expected, which would be the highest for original Hindi content since the COVID-19 pandemic, surpassing Akshay Kumar starrer Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi.

Friday: Rs 13.50 crore

Saturday: Rs 18 crore

Sunday: Rs 23 crore 

Monday: Rs 10.75 crore

Tuesday: Rs 9.50 crore

Wednesday: Rs 8.25 crore

Thursday: Rs 7.25 crore

Week one revenue of Rs 90.25 crore

Second Friday: Rs 6.25 crore

Second Saturday: Rs 11 crore

Total: Rs. 107 crore.

Sooryavanshi's second-week gross was Rs 45 crore nett, and depending on how the weekend performs, this film may be able to surpass that figure. Sooryavanshi is the highest-grossing original Hindi film at its second weekend. Higher numbers have only been achieved by RRR and KGF: Chapter 2. It won't surprise anyone if Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 outperforms Sooryavanshi in the second week.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is an Anees Bazmee directorial also featuring Tabu and Kiara Advani as the female leads. The film hit the big screens on May 20, 2022, alongside Kangana Ranaut starrer Dhaakad, which was declared a box office failure. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is also performing better than Ayushmann Khurrana's latest release, Anek, directed by Anubhav Sinha.
