Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 - Vidya Balan, Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri gear up for Ami Je Tomar sequence; details inside

Manjulika is an inevitable companion to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. The iconic character's presence is inseparable from her signature song, Ami Je Tomar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3's third schedule has begun filming at Mumbai's Film City, following a brief stay in Kolkata earlier this month. The cast includes Vidya Balan, Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, and Triptii Dimri. All eyes are currently on the actors as they shoot the iconic song, even though director Anees Bazmee has planned some scary and action scenes for the 15-day segment.

Iconic song Ami Je Tomar returns

At the end of the 2007 original, Vidya's character dances to Ami Je Tomar while emulating Manjulika. In subsequent instalments of the horror comedy series, such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), the song has become a recurring motif, with Tabu's Anjulika and Manjulika and Aaryan's Rooh Baba dancing to it. According to reports in Mid Day, composer Amaal Mallik is offering his own take on the song this time around.

A source revealed to the tabloid that art director Rajat Poddarr and his crew have constructed a huge set of historic mansions similar to one in West Bengal. Choreographer Chinni Prakash has created the song in this setting, envisioning Kartik, Vidya, Madhuri, and Triptii performing a traditional dance performance. The single, like the other two installments, will arrive at a pivotal point in the story.

Upcoming shoot in Europe

Bazmee will announce a short break once the Mumbai leg concludes by May 10. Then, the team will travel to Europe for a 10-day shoot starring Kartik and Triptii in a romantic song.

Anees Bazmee's critically acclaimed franchise's third installment will hit theatres in time for Diwali 2024.

Bhushan Kumar's statement

Producer Bhushan Kumar expressed his happiness at continuing the franchise with Anees and Kartik, stating that the entire team deeply loves the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series. When they join forces, they can create a film that pays tribute to the franchise's history while simultaneously providing twice the fun and excitement for moviegoers.
