Finally, the trailer for Bhoot Police is out. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, the trailer gives out a lot about what's in store for the viewers in the movie. The male actors play the role of onscreen brothers in the film who are ghostbusters. They are shown as imposters in the name of ghost hunters until they cross paths with the real spirits.

The film's female actors especially Yami is seen as being haunted by the evil spirit and she takes the story ahead. However, the Pavan Kirpalani directorial Bhoot Police keeps up with the horror-comedy genre. The funny sequences are mainly by Saif, who attempts straight face humour but his quirkiness overpowers it easily. He doesn't believe in ghosts while Arjun's character does and also believes that they have the power to hunt the evil spirits down. Kapoor is shown as the more serious brother who knows how the situation is grave and wants to help Yami's character as he crushes on her too.

As per reports in Indian Express, Arjun had spoken about his character in Bhoot Police by stating, "While I don’t believe in ghosts and stories about witches, I really liked the film’s script."

He revealed that when the producer Ramesh Taurani shared the script with him, he said 90% of India believes in ghosts and witches and only 10% don’t.

Thus Arjun feels his character will be relatable to 90% of the audience and Saif’s will be to only 10%.

This is the first time Saif and Arjun will be sharing the screen space in a movie. Interestingly, Kapoor was an assistant director on the sets of Kal Ho Naa Ho which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity G Zinta and Saif in the lead roles.

Bhoot Police is set to be a Disney+ Hotstar release and will stream from September 17, 2021.
