Bhooth Bangla: Priyadarshan turns Royal Palms into haunted mansion for Akshay Kumar-starrer?

Akshay Kumar's reunion with Priyadarshan for Bhooth Bangla has left fans excited. The horror comedy went on floors in December 2024, with Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi joining the star cast. The film is an anticipated project as Akshay has joined forces with Priyadarshan after 14 years. The latest development on their upcoming spooky comedy is that the film's second schedule commenced on March 7. As per a media report, a portion of Royal Palms (in Goregaon, Mumbai) has been transformed into a haunted mansion setting.

Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla update

According to Mid-Day, the Bhooth Bangla team will shoot the majority of the film's horror scenes over 30 days. "The production design team has transformed a portion of Royal Palms into a haunted mansion setting, which serves as the backdrop for a chunk of the movie. An elaborate set, comprising dark corridors and a high ceiling, has been built," a source revealed.

The 30-day shoot will reportedly cover the film's dramatic and horror scenes. Moreover, a fun chase sequence will be shot. The sequence might highlight the principal characters getting separated in the mansion and 'run amok hoping to escape' what they think is a spirit.

Kumar will be seen playing the role of a magician, who finds himself entangled in a series of supernatural events. Besides Akshay, Tabu and Wamiqa, the star cast includes Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav.

Bhooth Bangla release date and poster

Akshay made an official announcement about Bhooth Bangla in September 2024. The actor also shared a poster on his social media account and revealed the film's release date in December last year. While sharing the poster, Kumar captioned his Instagram post: "Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite @priyadarshan.official as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy BhoothBangla today (sic)."
