The Ajay Devgn-starrer Bhuj The Pride of India, based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war, revolves around the real-life hero, IAF squadron leader Vijay Karnik, who reconstructed the demolished Bhuj airbase within 72 hours with the help of 300 women from a local village. It has been one of the highly-awaited films not only because of the story but also due to its star cast and its release during the Independence Day weekend to invoke patriotism among the Indians.
