Ranveer Singh made his acting debut in 2010 with Yash Raj Films’ Band Baaja Baarat opposite Anushka Sharma. With his charming personality and acting prowess, Singh made his place in Bollywood with ease. Now, Bhumi Pednekar, who appeared on the recent episode of Kareena Kapoor Khan's talk show, 'What Women Want', talked about the time when Ranveer auditioned for the film. Before becoming an actor, Bhumi was a casting director in 2009.
During a chat on the show ‘What Women Want’ when Kareena Kapoor Khan asked Bhumi Pednekar if she has some fun stories from the time when she was a casting director, she shared one about Ranveer Singh. Talking about how he entered the audition of Band Baaja Baarat, Bhumi said, “I have a very good memory of Ranveer’s audition for Band Baaja Baaraat. He is so phenomenal and such a wonderful person. When he entered our casting office in Juhu, the energy that we see now on the red carpet or while interacting with people, that is the energy he had at that time.”

Bhumi further talked about how she had never seen someone with such a persona when they came in for an audition. The Thank You For Coming actress went on to say that when she rehearsed with him for the part, she forgot her lines which never happened with her as she would take 100 auditions and remember them precisely. “At that time I realised that this person in front of me was so brilliant. I don’t think I will ever forget that experience,” she added.
Talking about Ranveer Singh’s energy and confidence, the actress said that it’s something that she has learned from him and continued in her life. “It is so important to be so positive in life. He is very kind as a person as well. I have literally known him since I was an assistant. And even till date when I meet him, the love is exactly the same, which I feel is incredible,” she said.
