Actor and director Divya Khosla Kumar dropped her music mogul and producer husband Bhushan Kumar's surname from her Instagram bio which sparked the rumors of their divorce. Besides, the actress also added an extra 's' to her surname and edited it to 'Khossla'. As soon as eagle-eyed netizens found this out, the speculations about trouble in paradise started circulating. The actress even unfollowed her husband's production company, T-Series, as well as his record label.

Divya Khosla Kumar and Bhushan Kumar are not seperating

However, all these reports are not true. A spokesperson from T-Seies clarified that the celebrity couple is 'not' separating. According to a report in Zoom, the spokesperson revealed the reason behind Divya dropping her married surname. he said, "Divya Khossla's choice to drop her married surname, driven by astrological belief, is a personal decision and should be respected. The addition of an 's' to her maiden surname, symbolising her astrological belief, is for the same thought."

So it turns out that Divya's decision to change her name is due to 'astrological reasons' and not because they are getting a divorce. For those who do not know, the entire Kumar family has publicly said in multiple interviews that they believe in God and astrology. Therefore, Divya's decision to change her name on social media is believable.

For the uninitiated, Bhushan and Divya tied the knot on February 13, 2005. They had welcomed their son who was born on October 2011.
