Kannada actor Rajavardan, who debuted with the historical film Bicchugatthi, opposite Hariprriya, is getting an image makeover of sorts. The actor is set to go rugged for a massy look in his next film. Hiraanyaa, which will take off this month. Rajavardan, who has been nicknamed Massive Star by fans, had taken to social media to announce that the title of his next, #Raj03 would be launched on February 16 at 11:11 am. And yet, the actor himself spoke to the media to announce it earlier.

Having started off with a period film like Bicchugatthi, in which he had massy shades, Rajavardan followed that up with a romantic film called Payanam. The actor says that fans have been asking him about doing a full-fledged commercial film, whivh gave him the confidence to try his hand at the genre. Speaking to an English daily, Rajavardan said that Hiraanyaa will be an out-and-out commercial entertainer, in which he will sport a rugged massy avatar. The title of the film, he adds, had been registered by actor Dhananjaya for his banner Daali Pictures, but he gave it to the team of Rajavardhan’s film, as it seemed apt for their script.

At the moment, no details are available about the rest of the cast, although the team is set to have an official muhurtha on February 16 and go on floors four days later, from February 20. Hiraanyaa, adds Rajavardan, will be helmed by Prawin Avyukth, while noted Tamil cinematographer Yogeshwaran will be behind the camera. Judah Sandhy has been roped in for the music, while KM Prakash is the editor, and Vikram Mor will choreograph the stunts. Given the scale of the project, the team is looking at shooting the film in Bengaluru over an 80-day schedule.
