Meanwhile, Big Ben is said to be based on a real-life incident involving a Malayali couple, who travel to the UK to get one of them settled into a new job and the legal complications they face thereafter. According to reports, Big Ben is about Jean Antony, a police officer from Kerala and his wife, Lovely, who travel to the UK, where she’s found work as a nurse. However, when Jean has an altercation with one of Lovely’s colleagues, he gets arrested, forcing child welfare authorities to step in and take charge of their young daughter, suspecting the couple of neglect.
The rest of the film follows the couple’s struggle to regain custody of their daughter, amid legal hurdles and challenges posed by their unfamiliarity with UK laws. Although some events have been fictionalized for cinematic effect, overall, Big Ben received largely positive reviews.
Some of Sun NXT's recent additions to its library include Vidyapati, Sumo, #Viral, Nesippaya, Iyer in Arabia, Ten Hours, Am…Ah, Kaalamegam Karigindhi, Niram Marum Ulagil, Kaalapatthar, Paraman, Blue Star, Laughing Buddha, Shivamma, Kattis Gang, Rakshasa, Kadhal Enbathu Podhuvudamai, among others.
