A year after its theatrical release, the UK-based Malayalam thriller Big Ben has made its digital debut. The film, which stars Anu Mohan and Aditi Ravi in lead roles, is now streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium.
Big Ben streaming on Sun NXT
The film, which debuted in theatres in June of last year, did not draw large crowds. However, with its OTT release, it is anticipated to receive more praise and reach a wider audience. Big Ben began streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium from 12 am on May 30.
Big Ben had mixed reviews overall, considering the fact that several true events were shown with a fictional effect. Recent additions to Sun NXT's Malayalam collection include Am..Ah, Iyer in Arabia, Kudumba Sthreeyum Kunjadum, Kattis Gang, and so on. While Anu Mohan is known for his performances in You Too Brutus, Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Dhoomam, Aditi Ravi rose to fame with films such as Kuttanadan Marpappa and Pathaam Valavu.
What is Big Ben all about?
The film's trailer and posters both attest to the fact that it is based on true events that occurred in the lives of a Malayali family entangled in UK legal complexities. The riveting thriller, which is mostly shot in several locations throughout the United Kingdom, is hinted at in the teaser. Chandhunadh and Miya George play police officers in Big Ben as well.
Living overseas, Lovely and Jean's journey to London becomes a legal battle as they attempt to maintain their family's stability while navigating unfamiliar laws. Whether or not they will be able to reconcile in spite of their ignorance with local regulations is the film's central plot point. The film's director and screenplay writer is Ben Augustine. Big Ben has been financed by Braintree Productions, which is led by Prajay Kamat, Eldo Thomas, and Siby Aranjany. Vijay Babu, Jaffer Idukki, Biju Sopanam, Nisha Sarang, Shebin Benson, Baby Hannah, and Bitu Thomas are among the film's supporting cast members. The project's soundtracks were composed by Kailas Menon.
