Bigg Boss 15’s Shamita Shetty makes her comeback to acting in films – watch The Tenant trailer

Shamita Shetty is making her comeback to acting in films. The actress was last seen in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 15. She will now be seen in the movie The Tenant, the trailer of which has been unveiled recently.

Shamita unveiled the trailer on her social media handles and it went viral in a jiffy. The promo sees her in the role of a mysterious tenant.

In the trailer, Shamita is seen as a mysterious character – a tenant named Meera aka Sonia – who gets friendly with a child. It is later revealed that she is a famous personality who was involved in a scandal. The scandal was a leaked MMS tape. Thereon, the drama commences.

The Tenant has been lauded as the reality for every single woman who lives in a society. The promo shows the society members looking down upon the new tenant because of a past.

Shamita’s sister Shilpa Shetty and Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra were among the celebrities to congratulate the Bigg Boss 15 contestant on her upcoming film. Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan are among those who liked Shamita’s post on Instagram.

The film also stars Swanand Kirkire, who, in a glimpse, is seen trying to force himself on the female lead. He tries to manipulate her stating that he knows ‘how these things work.’

The Tenant co-features Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Srivastava, Rudraksh Jaiswal and Harsh Mayar in pivotal roles. Helmed by Sushrut Jain, the movie is slated to release in theatres on February 10, 2023.
