Tina Datta's arrival on Bigg Boss 16 is long overdue. Every season, rumours circulate that the actor will appear on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. Furthermore, Tina has frequently appeared as a guest, so becoming a contestant is a dream come true for her fans.
Tina is shown in her promo pleading with Durga Maa to shower her with the same affection that Ichcha received during her Uttaran days. Tina appears to have left many teasers for her admirers, one of which involves Tina's sentiments about doing Bigg Boss. In a charming video, Tina is heard shouting, "Neend Udh Jaati Hai, Chain Bhi Khota Hai!"
Tina is best known for her roles in Colors TV's iconic series Uttaran as Ichcha and Meethi. This will not be her first appearance on a reality show; she previously appeared on the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. The actor also appeared in Shani, a mythical drama, and Daayan, a supernatural horror series.
Tina began her career as a child artist, appearing in a television series called Sister Nivedita at the age of five. She soon began acting in films, where she played the heroine's daughter in Pita Matar Santaan, Dus Number Bari, Sagarkanya, and many other roles.
The actor has appeared in Bengali television soaps such as Khela, in which she played a thug hired by Dipankar De to spy on his daughters-in-law, Sudipta and Durga. She co-starred with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Rituparno Ghosh's 2003 film Chokher Bali. She later portrayed a young Lalita (Vidya Balan) in the 2005 film Parineeta. Tina appeared as a black magic victim in one of Colors TV's Koi Aane Ko Hai tales.
The actor was cast as an adult Ichcha in the 2009 series Uttaran, replacing Sparsh Khanchandani, for which she received considerable accolades and recognition. The plot revolved around Ichcha and her friendship with Tapasya. Uttaran introduced Indian television to new foreign markets, making Datta a household name beyond the country's borders. Datta's chemistry with Nandish Sandhu and Rohit Khurana was praised. Datta got multiple awards and nominations for Uttaran, and she also portrayed her on-screen daughter, Meethi.
We are sure that just like Rashami Desai, Tina Datta's fan following will help her have a great journey inside the Bigg Boss 16 house.
