Bigg Boss 16 December 5, 2022 LIVE Highlights: Ankit becomes the new captain of the house

Day 65 in the Bigg Boss house saw a new captain being declared, after Bigg Boss put forth quite a colourful task to the housemates. The task led to quite a few disagreements, which continued long after the task ended.

Here’s all that happened:

Day 65, 3:00 PM IST

Bigg Boss explains the colourful captaincy task he has in store for the housemates. The nominees for captaincy this week are Ankit, Priyanka, Shalin and Sumbul and the supreme sets up ‘clothes shops’ for each. The nominees are required to put colour and dirt on their rival nominees’ clothes. The housemates can support the nominee of their choice by washing their clothes. At the end, the person with the most number of clean clothes can select the person they want to eliminate from the captaincy race.

Nimrit is the first supervisor of the task.

Day 65, 3:15 PM IST

Tina tells Priyanka to make sure that she dirties Sumbul’s clothes as much as possible. She discusses the same with Ankit and Shiv, and asks Archana to help wash it for them.

Day 65, 3:30 PM IST

Arguments start to happen between Shiv and Sumbul, when the latter poured colour on the clothes Shiv washed. Sajid exclaims that everyone seems to be targeting Sumbul. Nimrit also addresses this.

Priyanka and Soundarya criticise Sajid for helping Sumbul. Shiv yells when Priyanka continues even after the gong goes off. Soon everyone starts to talk over each other.

Day 65, 4:00 PM IST

Nimrit kicks Shalin out. Bigg Boss intervenes and says that the end results should be declared only after the current captain inspects everything first. Nimrit declares Priyanka as the loser of the first round, and Shalin the winner.

Nimrit is confused about the rules. But Bigg Boss says that Nimrit’s decision is final. Shalin puts mud on Sumbul’s photo, and his decision seems to have been influenced by Tina. He says that the reason was because he feels that she needs more time to be ready to be the house’s captain. Sumbul declares that everyone is targeting her, and leaves in a huff. She gets into a loud argument with Priyanka.m

Day 65, 4:15 PM IST

The housemates try to fill water in buckets before the round begins, and Bigg Boss reminds them of the rules yet again. Sajid asks Ankit to save him if the latter becomes the captain.

Sumbul is the supervisor for the new round.

Day 65, 4:30 PM IST

Priyanka accuses Shalin of cheating by holding colour in his hand even before the bell rang. Tina tries to advice Shalin, asking him to dirty Priyanka’s clothes first. Soundarya and Shalin taunt and tease each other. Priyanka and Shalin start to yell at each other. Priyanka accuses Shalin of dropping her clothes. The gong sounds and Sumbul declares that Priyanka had the most number of clean clothes. Priyanka puts mud on Shalin’s picture, saying that the latter does not understand the task and changes his mind about things too quickly.

Day 65, 4:45 PM IST

Tina criticises Shalin for not listening to her instructions of targeting Priyanka. She says that it is evident that Shalin wanted Priyanka to be the captain.

Day 65, 5:00 PM IST

Shalin is the new supervisor in the round of Priyanka vs Ankit. Ankit is declared the winner and new captain. Ankit is instructed to put mud on Priyanka’s picture.

Day 65, 5:15 PM IST

Ankit is instructed to allocate the rooms to the housemates. He saves Priyanka and Sajid from eviction, and allocates them to room 2. He then goes onto allocate the rooms to the rest of the housemates.

Day 65, 5:30 PM IST

Shalin and Soundarya tease and have fun with each other over a bath towel.

Day 65, 5:45 PM IST

Nimrit is called into the confession room. Bigg Boss asks if Nimrit is happy now that Ankit is captain. Nimrit says that Ankit did the right thing by saving Sajid. Bigg Boss asks where she stands with Ankit.

Bigg Boss gives Nimrit a lot to think about.

Day 65, 6:00 PM IST

Soundarya says that Ankit should have saved her since she washed so many of Ankit’s clothes. Bigg Boss asks how Ankit feels.

Day 65, 6:30 PM IST

Priyanka says that Sajid started to support him only after Sumbul was out of the race. She also adds that Soundarya had supported him a lot

Day 65, 6:45 PM IST

Nimrit and Shalin discuss what Sumbul’s father said. Shalin says that he had considered Sumbul a real friend at one point.

Day 65, 8:00 PM IST

Tina discusses with Shalin on why he let Priyanka win. Tina and Shalin argue again, when he calls Tina a bad loser.

Day 65, 9:00 PM IST

Soundarya says that Tina had asked the former if she(Soundarya) would share the bed with Shalin. Soundarya questions Tina about why the latter asked that weird question. Tina said that she said it only because she loved the small bed.

This causes an argument between Tina and Shalin. Tina becomes furious.

Day 65, 9:15 PM IST

Abdu tells Nimrit and Shiv that Sajid seems to be exhausted after not eating food. Nimrit and Shiv decide to give Sajid as soon as possible.

Day 65, 10:00 PM IST

Priyanka asks Ankit if he thinks that she treats him unfairly. Archana announces to the house not to waste any food.

Day 65, 11:45 PM IST

Soundarya sobs saying that her problem is that she cares too much about people, and talks to Archana and Soundarya. She is still hurt by Ankit not picking her. Soundarya and Ankit talk it out, and Archana and Priyanka leave. Soundarya accuses Ankit of not standing up for her. Archana tells Priyanka that Ankit will not be able to speak freely in Priyanka’s presence. Priyanka takes offence and becomes emotional. Priyanka says that these things affect her image. The two hug and make up.

Ankit goes and talks to Priyanka and gives her a hug. Abdu comforts Soundarya. Soundarya tells Abdu that they are both soft hearted.

Day 65, 1:00 AM IST

Archana searches for her lost yellow blanket. Soundarya and Nimrit also joins the search. They see Tina sleeping on the couch. Soundarya takes offence at this, and the four discuss this. Tina walks in with the blanket.
