Bigg Boss 16 New Year Special episode with Salman Khan December 31, 2022 Highlights: Karan Kundrra, Dharmendra celebrate 2023

Various guests enter Bigg Boss 16 for the New Year Special episode. Dharmendra and Karan Kundrra among others enter the show. Krushna Abhishek of Bigg Buzz also comes in various characters.

Shalin is happy with the overacting tag and Priyanka feels she is lost on the show. Shalin says he's worked up since Vikkas came with a mindset on the show.

Karan Kundrra comes on the show to celebrate New Year with the contestants and Salman. Abdu, Stan, Shiv and Archana are his favourite. However, he feels that Archana would have a problem with her. Karan finally goes to meet the contestants.

Salman bids the year goodbye and leaves it to what happens inside the house now. Karan enters the show and talks about Bigg Boss 15. Karan feels he would have broken up with Tejasswi Prakash if Bigg Boss were playing last year.

The resolutions are here. Archana wanted to stay friends with Priyanka till the end. Priyanka refuses to stay friends with Nimrit or believe Archana. Stan calls Archana and Sreejita nonsense. He feels he will win the trophy and enacts the scene. Stan wants Shiv to win the trophy. Abdu wants less spicy food. Shalin refuses to use bad language on the show and even talk to Archana. Tina refuses to fall for sweet talks, leading to an argument between Tina and Nimrit. Shiv targets Shalin and says that he doesn't want fake people around him. Shalin agrees. Nimrit doesn't want fake friendships with Tina or Shalin.

Karan has a surprise for the contestants, except Shiv. The reason is Shiv wants a wild card. Khatron Ke Khiladi finalist Jannat Zubair comes with Shiv's gift and to celebrate the new year.

Karan talks to Archana about Bigg Boss being biased with her when it comes to her sleep. As he talks about the MP, Rajiv Adatia comes and gives Archana a hug. She gets nervous and leaves his grip. After knowing it's Rajiv, she gets comfortable. Archana and Rajiv then recreate the MP scene. She then brozones him. Karan then asks her what kind of chest does she like in men. She likes clean-shaven with little hair.

The next task is switching characters. Stan is Ankit and Nimrit is Priyanka. Sajid plays Sumbul and he calls her on stage too. They both dance on stage, leading to both laughs and applauds. Shiv is Shalin and Sreejita is Tina. Soundarya and Shiv recreate their scene. Abdu plays Soundarya.

There's a new award - buzzer awards. Shalin can't stop cribbing, when the kandha award is introduced. Shiv gets it. Shab kosh award goes to Stan. Shalin also gets an award. Nimrit and Priyanka compete for vamp award. Priyanka gets another award - the main main award. Archana wins Kokila Kanthil award. Tina wins an award too. Abdu wins hugger of the house award.

Rajiv then grooves to Salaam-e-Ishq meri jaan with Archana. They bid the housemates goodbye. Karan, however, stays back.

The next task is about people who wouldn't want to see each other. Sreejita names Sumbul, Tina, Priyanka, Shalin pick Archana, Stan picks Priyanka, Archana, Soundarya, Sumbul, Nimrit, Shiv, Abdu pick Shalin and Sajid picks everyone.

Shiv brings drinks for the housemates. Karan then rings in New Year with the housemates. The episode ends with that.

Karan Kundrra's upcoming show Ishq Mein Ghayal, is about warewolves. The upcoming show is introduced.

Soon, Krushna re-enters as Jackie Shroff. He talks about Tiger and Shera, among other things. He then talks about liabilities, when his wife Kashmera Shah enters. He ends up calling her penguin. The two talk about Bigg Buzz.

Krushna goes to meets the contestants. Salman leaves them. Kashmera meets the contestants through TV while Krushna re-enters the stage as Jackie. Kashmera leaves them be while Krushna talks with the housemates.

Krushna jokes that Shalin is the smartest. He praises Shalin's game and says he like only Tina and 'protina,' only to follow it up with 'Argentina' and how anybody involved with Tina plays well. Priyanka is his next target. He then jokes about Ankit talking so much that he became the watchman of Filmcity. The joke is followed up by Ankit being signed for Mr India 2. Stan is his next target. His next target is the mandali members. Shalin is his next target. Love story and breakup with Tina, action with Stan, drama with Soundarya is brought up. Sumbul and overacting are also dragged in the conversation. Archana - the crow's kuldevi - is the next target. He jokes Shiv will do Bigg Boss Odia, Kannada and even Andaman-Nicobar.

As Dharmendra leaves the show, Salman meets the housemates and gives them a new task - the clearance sale. Archana names Vikkas, leading to an argument between the two. Soundarya, Nimrit, Tina name Shalin, Sumbul, Stan, Sajid name Sreejita, Shiv, Abdu name Vikkas, Shalin names Soundarya, Priyanka names Archana, Sreejita picks Sumbul and Vikkas names Shiv. Sreejita, Shalin and Vikkas are the most named.

The last eviction of 2022 is here. Shalin, Priyanka, Sreejita, Tina, Vikkas, Soundarya and Nimrit are nominated. Salman says Soundarya is evicted, followed by Tina and eventually Vikkas. Soon, Archana tells Sreejita that she isn't her friend and thus, she shouldn't be upset if nominated. Archana thanks Ankit and says nominations have become important now.

Salman has a gift for Dharmendra. Krushna Abhishek steps in as Jeetendra and starts his fun segment instantly. He calls himself Santa Claus because of Tohfa Tohfa song. He then jokes about The Burning Train and has a memory from it.

Dharmendra remembers Raj Khosla. Krushna then plays badminton with Salman on stage and continues his jokes. Dharmendra's photo with Dilip Kumar makes the actor emotional. Soon, Dharmendra has a shayari for Salman Khan.

The next task is naming an apna. Sajid names Abdu and vice-versa, Stan, Shiv, Sumbul also name Sajid, Nimrit names Shiv, Soundarya names Archana and vice versa, Vikkas names Shalin, Tina picks Stan, Sreejita picks Priyanka, Priyanka picks Abdu and Shalin names Tina. With that, both Dharmendra and Salman leave the house.

Dharmendra comes in the house to meet the contestants. He commences his meeting with a shayari. Sajid has to host Dharmendra on the show. He reveals how Dharmendra has one finger of one kg and how Dharmendra was the first actor to go shirtless, in Phool Aur Patthar. The bodybuilding trend started with him, the actor who has worked in the industry for 63 years. Dharmendra has fought with lions twice and once with a tiger.

Just when they indulge in a conversation, Salman enters the house. He jokes that everyone, including him, considers themselves Dharmendra. The girls, on the other hand, think of themselves as Dream Girls.

Sajid has to go for a task. It is the task to pay tribute to Dharmendra. The task is about boys becoming Dharmendra and girls being Dream Girl, Hema Malini. Stan has a funny moment enacting Dharmendra. Dharmendra announces Bigg Boss' Dharmendra is Sajid Khan. The Dream Girl, on the other hand, is Soundarya Sharma.

The New Year Special episode commences with Salman Khan meeting the contestants as soon as he enters. He tags Sumbul Touqeer Khan and then Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia as the most confused contestant of the week because of how she kept feeling that Abdu Rozik changed since his re-entry in the Bigg Boss 16 house. Salman talks about the birthday incident and schools Nimrit about the situation. Salman reveals that Nimrit's mother directly spoke to Abdu's team. He then compares Nimrit to Sumbul. Nimrit says that she would prioritize Shiv Thakare but eventually she says even he's not a priority.

As Salman leaves them alone, Sreejita De and Archana Gautam discuss the situation, when Shalin Bhanot joins them. Nimrit eventually wants to talk to Abdu about what her mother spoke. He refuses to do so and MC Stan supports Abdu. Nimrit apologizes and then thanks Abdu. Meanwhile, Archana apologizes to Shalin and promises a new beginning. Sajid Khan drops in and talks to them. Shiv praises how well Abdu has handled the awkward situation.

Archana taunts Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary, irking the latter. Nimrit, on the other hand, tries to get what Abdu spoke about from Shiv, who refuses to talk either. Priyanka screams and cries about Archana in front of Vikkas Maniktala and Tina Datta. Meanwhile, Archana mocks the situation with Sajid. The latter then says that Priyanka is crying because she has become the hero of the day. Soundarya Sharma reveals that Sreejita said Nimrit didn't deserve the spot on the show.
