Bigg Boss 16: Salman Khan’s show gets extended by four weeks

Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 16 has got an extension of four weeks. The show has topped the TRP charts and thus, Bigg Boss had recently announced that the show has got a four-week extension. It will now end in February.

During the Sunday episode, Shekhar Suman made the grand announcement. He revealed that Bigg Boss 16 is a superhit show. With that, he added that because of the same reason, Bigg Boss has taken a massive decision. After creating enough suspense, he did eventually reveal that the show has got an extension of as much as four weeks.

Bigg Boss usually ends in December with the New Year. However, since Bigg Boss 16 is working well, this show will now go on till February 12, 2023.

All the contestants were excited upon hearing the news. However, as expected, a few felt like they want to leave for home already.

One contestant who was expected to give an epic reaction, did. That contestant is Archana Gautam. She promised Bigg Boss that they would celebrate Valentine’s Day before the show ends.

In fact, it was Archana only who got extremely emotional upon hearing that someday, Bigg Boss will come to an end. She started crying while recalling the day when she will leave the show. Archana was spilling the beans to her good friend on the show, Soundarya Sharma.

Bigg Boss 16 isn’t the first show to get an extension. The concept was introduced long ago. The longest extension any Bigg Boss got was in season 13. The show had commenced on September 29, 2019 and Sidharth Shukla picked up the trophy on February 15, 2020.
