Bigg Boss 16: Shalin Bhanot gets emotional on receiving a letter from his father, papa Bhanot says ‘jeet kar toh aana hi hai’

Bigg Boss 16 has introduced the emotional angle to the show. The contestants finally get a treat from their loved ones – a letter. Shalin Bhanot got one such letter from his father and broke down into tears. Soon after though, he wiped them off his face remembering how his papa says, “Sher rota nahi.”

The makers of the show have released a promo in which Shalin is seen getting emotional as soon as he witnesses a letter from his house. “Aur kuch dikh nahi raha,” he said in the promo and started reading the letter out loud.

Shalin accuses that nobody lets him enjoy or even laugh in the Bigg Boss 16 house. “Papa bolte hai, oye sher hai tu aur sher rota nahi,” the actor said, wiping the tears off his face.

Shalin is seen involved with Tina Datta the most in the house. He tried to bond with many including Soundarya Sharma and Sreejita De but has been a constant with Tina, despite their fights.

In another promo released by the makers, it is revealed that Shalin’s father pushed him towards becoming the winner. The thought behind that is that the father wants to be called ‘winner ke mummy papa.’

Shalin’s papa also revealed that his name is taken in households and they are very proud to be his parents. “Tum toh bane hi jeetne ke liye ho,” his father wrote and Shalin added, “That is papa,” laughing like his papa was in the same room as him.

Not just Shalin, even Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia received a letter from her father. Already missing her family, Nimrit broke down inconsolably.

Reading the letter, she said, “Papa hamesha kehte hai, veer tum badhe chalo (My father always says keep growing no matter the circumstance).” It is to be noted that Nimrit was missing her family since a long time and requested Bigg Boss umpteen number of times to get through her fam. Finally, she got a word from them.
