Bigg Boss 16 contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia's mother Inderpreet Kaur is furious with former Bigg Boss contestant VJ Andy for his parody videos in which he can be seen mocking Nimrit and her previous hit TV show Choti Sardarni. In his videos, Andy calls Nimrit 'Bhalu' (bear) and Roti Sardarni. His spoof mocks how emotional she has gotten on the show. The video has not gone down well with Nimrit's mother.
Indepreet expressed her pain not only at Andy’s treatment of her daughter, but also how by mocking the word ‘Sardarni’, during her chat with ETimes. She believes that Andy is targeting the entire Sikh community.
She said, "Andy has always expressed his views about the contestants of Bigg Boss. Every year he does that. He has been a former contestant also. I always felt that he is someone who has a very progressive thinking and doesn't believe in body-shaming or trolling someone for being insensitive. But what he is doing now is not comedy, I am sorry to say that in the pretext of doing comedy he’s hitting below the belt."
Nimrit's mom goes on to state, “He is body shaming someone, taking a dig at someone’s career choices. The very fact that he has picked up Nimrit’s show’s name is in a very bad taste. It is one of the popular shows of the channel and successfully ran for a long time and Nimrit was proudly associated with it. The way he is mocking the word ‘Sardarni’ is targeting the entire Sikh community."
She concludes with how she feels that a person as popular in the industry as Andy should not be resorting to such cheap tactics and should be aware of his limits. She adds that body shaming someone or mockery won’t get him anywhere, since pointing fingers at someone only gets you four fingers pointing back at you. Nimrit’s mom believes everything Andy is doing is in bad taste and hopes for him to gain some sense.
Several Bigg Boss fans are furious after watching the video shared by Andy. They have not only strongly expressed their displeasure but have also threatened to file a case against him for misusing the word 'Sardarni'. The threats include reminders of how he was beaten up by Kushal Tandon the last time he misbehaved.
