In 2023, Mannara Chopra garnered increased attention through her participation in the reality show Bigg Boss Season 17, where she achieved the position of second runner-up. Notably, Mannara is the paternal cousin of renowned actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. Recently, Mannara expressed to a news portal that she prefers not to leverage her connection to others for personal gain.

Mannara Chopra and her Bollywood connection

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble recently, Mannara Chopra outlined her journey in Bigg Boss 17. She thanked her fans and well-wishers for their constant support. Later, she slammed those who claimed that she became the second runner-up of the show because of her sister's popularity.

Mannara said, “This is my life funda: I don’t like to take advantage of being known through someone. Talking about Bigg Boss, I did not recognize anyone in the house (on my first day) except Ankita Lokhande. After my journey at the show concluded, I realized that contestants I met on the show were either YouTubers, social media influencers, actors, or famous personalities.”

“Even today, I am not the kind of person who wishes to be seen with a person for fame. I get conscious and uncomfortable when people talk about my family. I love meeting new people, interacting with them, and creating my own journey. I was invited by Bigg Boss makers to be a contestant on their show because they liked my work and not because of my family background,” she said.
