They have been friends since the beginning of this season. However, the latest promo suggests Vivian and Avinash's friendship might go for a toss. It's because the new Bigg Boss 18 promo highlights Avinash nominating his friend Vivian for eviction.

The Bigg Boss 18 promo begins with Digvijay Rathee nominating Vivian Dsena for eviction. It is followed by Chaahat Pandey nominating the TV actor because she feels Vivian charges everyone without any concrete reason. This is when the television actor tells her to stop creating false narratives about him.
In a shocking turn of events, Avinash Mishra, too, nominates his friend Vivian. However, contestants Shilpa Shirodkar and Karan Veer Mehra have an amusing reaction to it. Karan even blows a whistle. Avinash's reason for nominating Dsena is that the actor is stuck in the 'mummy wala' angle with Karan and Shilpa.

Chaahat wants Shilpa to cut ties with Vivian
In a special segment on Weekend Ka Vaar, Chaahat opined that Shilpa and Vivian's friendship is one-sided. The actress felt that Vivian hadn't put in any effort compared to Shilpa. Pandey voiced her thought that Shilpa should cut ties with Vivian because their 'friendship is of no use'.
