Meet actor Kunickaa Sadanand
Salman Khan introduced Kunickaa as the fourteenth contestant of Bigg Boss 19. The veteran actress left the film industry to continue her studies in law and became an advocate. Kunickaa began her acting career at the age of 28 with a horror film titled Kabrastan, followed by many popular blockbuster films like Khiladi, Beta, Gumraah, and others. Kunickaa also shared the screen with Salman Khan in Hum Saath Saath Hai, where she played Reema Lago’s friend, and also in Baaghi. Her two-decade-long career featured her in more than 100 films. She also got a breakthrough in television with shows like Swabhimaan, Kana Phoosi, and Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. Her last acting presence was in 2020 with the web series Taish. Veteran actress-turned-lawyer Kunickaa Sadanand is also a producer and social activist.
Kunickaa’s relationship struggles
The 61-year-old veteran actress faced many struggles in her personal life. After one failed marriage and losing the custody of her son, Kunickaa married again, but the second marriage also ended after a brief time. She had another son with her second partner. Recently in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kanickaa revealed that she was romantically involved with singer Kumar Sanu for six years. Though they kept the relation private due to Kumar’s emotional crises at the time, as he was facing some issues in his marriage. “We only appeared in public when performing at shows together. I helped select his clothes and managed arrangements for his performances. I was like his wife and considered him like my husband. It felt like a relationship similar to Shakuntala and Dushyant. But later, I discovered things about him that broke my heart," Kunickaa shared.
Meanwhile, Kanickaa is now in Bigg Boss 19 and is among the strong contenders due to her vast life experience. In a new promo, Kanickaa is seen engaging in an ugly fight with Baseer Ali.
