Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 is all set to kick off on September 29 with the grand inaugural at 6 pm. The live stream of the show will be available on JioCinema and Colors Kannada, as host Kiccha Sudeep welcomes the new contestants in and then sends them into the redesigned house, which has been put together based on the concept of heaven and hell.
The 16 contestants are to be divided into two groups, with one set to head to heaven and the other to hell, which will be swapped based on individual and team performances during the tasks in the show. This is, incidentally, not the first time that the show has played around with the concept. More than a decade ago, during Season 7 of Bigg Boss (Hindi), the theme was introduced for the first time.
A couple of contestants were tasked with dividing all of them into two groups, with those in heaven having access to better facilities than those in hell. For instance, the heaven side had a swimming pool, comfortable beds, a gym, kitchen, and more, while hell had a common bathroom and toilet for the contestants, rough floors, uncomfortable beds, a single tap for drinking water and no kitchen. Those sent to hell would be dependent on the other side to provide food, and barring this, nothing else is to be shared between the two groups.
However, after 31 days, both sides were merged and the remaining contestants were provided common facilities. Since this is the first time that Bigg Boss Kannada is adopting this theme, it remains to be seen how long this division will be in force.
Meanwhile, ahead of the start of Season 11, speculation has been rife about the contestants heading into the house. A few of them will be revealed on September 28 during the grand finale of Raja Rani on Colors Kannada.
