Bigg Boss Kannada 12: Kiccha Sudeep will host; had only one condition

Kiccha Sudeep will host Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, after all. The Kannada superstar, who has been the face of the popular reality show since its beginning, had bid adieu to it at the end of Season 11, after his shooting schedule and the hosting duties had caused him undue stress. But Sudeep and the showrunners have come to an understanding and he will be back - not just for Season 12, but on a 4-year contract that will have him onboard till Season 15.

Kiccha Sudeep: Don't believe in filtering contestants

In the last few days, there were reports that Sudeep had a set of conditions for the showrunners, including about the choice of contestants, given that there were multiple issues inside and outside the house with several in the last couple of years. Sudeep, however, clarified that he has no issue with the kind of contestants and does not believe in filtering out anyone.

His issue, he said, was more with how the Kannada version of the show was treated by the showrunners at a higher level. Sudeep stated that he never had an issue with the channel (Colors Kannada) at the local level, but felt that compared to how the other language versions of the show were being treated, it was a lot less for Kannada and he wanted that to be rectified.

The actor said that he had at least 10-12 meetings with the team to iron out any kinks and eventually, the only condition he had for them was about the start date. “They wanted it to start at a certain date, and I have requested them to push it ahead by 3-4 weeks, as I am committed to trying and ensuring that I have a film release in 2025. Billa Ranga Baashaa is ongoing and another project will be announced shortly,” he said.

Meanwhile, the promo of Bigg Boss Kannada 12 has been shot and that will reveal address a lot of the speculation surrounding the show currently.
