Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty and fellow house mate Saanya Iyer were very close during their time on the show, right through the Bigg Boss Kannada OTT season and the follow up TV season. Given how inseparable the duo was, there were rumours of a romance brewing between them, with Roopesh and Saanya being likened to Divya Uruduga and Aravind KP, who found love during their time together on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8.

Roopesh and Saanya, though, have been playing the ‘good friends only’ card, which continues despite the rumours to the contrary. Their camaraderie, therefore, could be reason enough for filmmakers to consider making the most of and pairing them in upcoming projects, which, as it turns out, is a prospect that Roopesh is not averse to.

Speaking to a news channel following his win, Roopesh said that he would most definitely do a film with Saanya if they were to be paired together. However, he said that this would depend on the film having a solid story that required the two of them and was not just capitalizing on their ‘chemistry’. “When people watch us together onscreen, they should feel happy. I don’t want to work with her just for the sake of doing a film and making the most of our current popularity. If there is a good script that demands the two of us as characters, I will most definitely be game to take it up,” he said.

Roopesh, who was adjudged the winner of Bigg Boss Kannada season 9 last weekend, will next be seen in the Kannada film Manku Bhai Foxy Rani, which is likely to release on January 13. The actor is also a part of Darling Krishna’s Love Me or Hate Me, in which he plays the second lead. Also on the anvil is his next Tulu directorial Circus, which is currently in post-production.
