Rakesh’s performance skills are being lauded, but his leadership quality not so much

Five weeks to go on this season of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT, but looks like audiences have already made up their minds about who will emerge victorious. After only a week in the house, Kannada actor-filmmaker Rakesh Adiga is fast becoming the frontrunner to win this season, but giving him competition are Roopesh Shetty and Arjun Ramesh.
As of now, Rakesh is being seen as the Rocky Bhai of the Bigg Boss house. The actor, who was adjudged best performer in the first week, has been hailed as the complete package by a majority of netizens who have been following the show. “Rakesh is single handedly saving this season!!!! That man is an entertainment package!” wrote one user, to which another chimed in, “1.Strong contender, Rapper, entertainer, 2.Very matured.”
Yet another user compared Rakesh to Anchor Shiva. “Rakesh Adiga is the Kannada version of Anchor Shiva – He’s entertaining, does the tasks well and flirts.” There is a consensus that Rakesh should head as the main contender for a spot on Bigg Boss Season 9, which starts immediately after this one. However, his supporters also feel that his leadership qualities are not up to the mark.
“Though his interpersonal skills, personality, oratory skills are pretty good, #RakeshAdiga is a poor leader. He was pretty bad in handling infighting among his own team members as captain & got all "worked up".Also he is all fun & hates taking responsibilities,” wrote one user. Another added, “Rakesh has already accepted the failure of his team even before the task gets completed. Whether the team is weak or strong, collapsed or succeed, he has to motivate them to move forward. But he is preparing them to face the consequences after the failure.”
Meanwhile, Mr Nice Guy Roopesh is being seen as Rakesh’s chief competition and a contender for the top slot, now that Arjun is nursing an injury and could leave the house. “Roopesh is too nice! But too much is too bad sometimes, this may effect his game!” wrote a fan.
