Bigg Boss Kannada OTT: Roopesh-Sanya ‘friendship’ in danger over too much time spent together?

When Bigg Boss Kannada OTT Season 1 began, there was only one couple in the house – Nandini and Jashwanth, but soon enough the buzz was that there were two more, namely Rakesh Adiga and Spoorthi Gowda and Roopesh Shetty and Sanya Iyer. However, with every passing day, the focus became increasingly about Roopesh and Sanya, given the sheer amount of time the duo has been spending together.

Both of them have been forced to address their growing closeness and assert that they are nothing more than friends multiple times already. The subject came up yet again during the nominations for house captain. One of the contestants up for the post was Sanya, but she lost out to Chythrra, when it was pointed out that most housemates felt a lack of emotional bonding with her, as she does not speak to a lot of them and spends most of her waking hours with Roopesh.

After she lost out to Chythraa, Sanya decided to address the issue yet again, this time with Somanna Machimada. He pointed out that his perception of them was not as a romantic couple, but that all that he has been seeing is that she is with Roopesh all the time, instead of dividing it up equally with various contestants in the house. This, he reckoned, was why housemates felt a lack of emotional connect with her. In fact, Sanya herself admitted that there have been times when she could not bring herself to speak to Spoorthi because she just couldn’t feel the right vibe between them.

Despite their protestations, Somanna stood firm about his view that they spent too much time together, which may just become a thorn in the budding ‘friendship’ between the two actors. Will they now go out of their way to keep a distance between them?
