Last Saturday, the first season of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT had its maiden elimination. With Lokesh out on medical leave from the house and Arjun Ramesh requesting Bigg Boss to let him leave, since he is also injured and struggling with pain, it was expected that perhaps there would not be another elimination.

However, in keeping with standard practice, Saturday’s episode had an elimination. And although social media influencer Sonu Srinivas Gowda had been nominated by most her housemates, she was saved in public voting, while danseuse Kiran Yogeshwar didn’t make the cut.

Speaking to an online news portal after her eviction, Kiran was asked about what she thought of Sonu, who has been picking fights with other contestants and is not a fan favourite either. Right from day 1, Sonu has been getting a lot of hate online.

“Sonu doesn’t think before she speaks; she just says whatever comes to her in that moment. I don’t think she does it on purpose; it’s how she is. She lacks common sense and doesn’t realise what she says. She is not worldly-wise or knowledgeable. She is an attention seeker and for that she keeps doing something or the other. But I don’t think she is a very bad person. She is like a kid and is quite immature. In a few years’ time, I think she will mellow down and become a different person,” said Kiran.

At the moment, some of the top contenders to win this season of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT are Rakesh Adiga and Roopesh Shetty. Akshata Kuki and Jayshree Aradhya have been at the bottom rung of voting in the first week of the reality show. Nandini and Jashwanth who entered the house as a couple and were to be considered as one entity for voting in week 1 are now separate contestants.
