Surprisingly, Sonu Srinivas Gowda, who was nominated by most of her fellow housemates during the nomination process on Day 2, was among the early contestants who were declared safe.

Today, the first panchayat of the Bigg Boss Kannada OTT season 1 was held by host Kiccha Sudeep. The superstar host spoke to all the contestants about what they liked and didn’t like about the first week in the house.
But then, he soon enough turned to the main agenda of the episode. The elimination of the first contestant this season. Earlier on, Somanna Machimada, Chythraa Hallikeri, Jashwanth and Nandu and Roopesh Shetty were already safe from elimination.
First week house captain Arjun Ramesh, who had injured his shoulder during one of the tasks, had said that he was finding it difficult to function with the pain in his arm and had requested to be let go. However, Sudeep told him that they would look at the medical advice and take a call on that.
In the meantime, Arjun was declared the first contestant to be safe this week. He was soon enough followed by Aryavardhan, Sanya Iyer, Rakesh Adiga, Sonu Srinivas Gowda, Spoorthi Gowda, Uday Surya, Jayshree Aradhya and Akshata Kuki.
While Rajasthani Kiran Yogeshwar turned out to be the first to be eliminated, at one point, when Jayshree, Akshata and Kiran were the bottom three, the general consensus among the housemates was that Jayshree should be the one leaving the house. The contestants cited several reasons pointing to the fact that she wasn’t able to gel with others, which she also seconded, saying that even though she was among 15 others, she still felt lonely very often.
Until the very end, Kiran was quite confident that she’d survive this week’s nomination and said that she was surprised by the verdict. In fact, for the longest time, it was expected that Sonu would be eliminated, given that most housemates had nominated her on Day 2. The social media influencer is also not very popular among audiences.
Meanwhile, comedian Lokesh, who left the house to seek medical attention for the injury to his leg, has not returned and it is not known yet if he will be back for the rest of the competition.
