Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9: Anupama Gowda, Deepika Das and Prashant Sambargi back in the house?

The launch date for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 is finally here. The 100-day season was supposed to start a week after the first-ever OTT season ends on September 17 and true to their word, the showrunners have announced that Season 9 will kick off on September 25. While it is known that the top four contestants of the OTT season will head back in the house as contestants of Season 9 too, the promo promises an even bigger twist.

According to the promo video of Season 9, several contestants from previous seasons are coming back to the house. The promo featured Vaishnavi Gowda and Anupama Gowda in conversation, as well Deepika Das and Prashant Sambargi in different situations, with three of them eventually seen heading off with suitcases with what can only be the Bigg Boss house. This season is going to be a tussle between the veterans and the relative newbies from the OTT season, who have had all of six weeks to get ready for what’s in store. The buzz is that the showrunners are zeroing in on all the ‘controversial’ contestants from earlier seasons to spice up the proceedings of Season 9. Rumour mills also suggest that Aniruddha Jatkar, who was most recently ousted from his show Jothe Jotheyalli, may be headed to the Bigg Boss house.

The Bigg Boss Kannada OTT season, meanwhile, is heading towards its grand finale. At the moment, Rakesh Adiga, Roopesh Shetty, Aryavardhan, Somanna Machimada, Jashwanth Bopanna, Jayshree Aradhya, Sonu Srinivas Gowda and Sanya Iyer are the finalists, four of who will be eliminated on Saturday. In the finale week, Lokesh, who had retired hurt in the first week after injuring himself during a task, returned to the house. Interestingly, Sonu, who, was considered as one of the most unpopular contestants of the show has consistently managed to be saved and is now believed to be a sure-shot Season 9 finalist, given that she’s quite the motor-mouth, argues a lot and picks fights too.
