Bigg Boss Kannada season 9 grand finale: Divya Uruduga exits the show as the 4th runner up

The first episode of the two-part finale lived up to all the expectations that surrounded it. The night was filled with a lot of glitz and glamour with all the thirteen eliminated season 9 contestants joining host Kiccha Sudeep in the studio to add life to the celebrations. Alongside, many noted celebrities like Pruthvi Ambaar, Shilpa Shetty (Mangaluru-based actress), Anupama Gowda, Shubha Poonja, and others graced the stage with their special dance performances.

And as far as the eliminations are concerned, speculations had been rife throughout the day about Divya Uruduga's elimination and just as anticipated the popular actress became the first finalist to exit the house. Divya Uruduga had entered the competition as a veteran, having secured the second runner-up spot in season 8 of Bigg Boss Kannada, and her stint in season 9 looked quite good until the elimination call beckoned her on Day #99 of her stay. 

With this, the four remaining contestants in the Bigg Boss house are Roopesh Shetty, Rakesh Adiga, Deepika Das, and Rupesh Rajanna. The four remaining contestants will spend their final night tonight inside the Bigg Boss house and await the results which are due Saturday night (December 31). Regardless, Rupesh Rajanna, Roopesh and Rakesh would have lasted 100 days in the competition. 

Coming back to Divya Uruduga, her elimination might come as a shocker to a few, considering that she has been among the most popular contenders of the season along with Roopesh Shetty and Rakesh Adiga. While her performance as a contestant remained even throughout, one could deem Rupesh Rajanna's growth in prominence over the last few weeks as a contributor to her exit. Similarly, Deepika Das, who returned to the show after being eliminated in week #8, has gained a lot of traction recently with many asserting that she is worthy of lifting the trophy.
