The second week inside the Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 house has come to a customary end with one of the 17 remaining contestants getting eliminated. With as many as 9 contestants nominated including captain Aryavardhan Guruji, the voting results revealed that the popular social media content creator Nawaz would have to exit the competition. In a rather tight finish between Nawaz and Roopesh Rajanna, the latter found himself a narrow escape to proceed into the third week of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9.
The 9 contestants in the elimination zone were Amulya Gowda, Aryavardhan, Darsh Chandrappa, Nawaz, Deepika Das, Prashanth Sambargi, Neha Gowda, and Roopesh Rajanna.
Previously during the nomination process, many cited that Nawaz had very little to add to the show and that barring his quirks and comedic chops, his personality lacked the required vibrancy to remain inside the house. Nawaz, despite the efforts, was unable to prove himself in the team tasks and though he managed to strike the chord with fellow contestants during the week, one might reckon that it was too little and too late.
The previous round of eliminations saw motor race Aishwarya Pissay get the axe on the show.
Following his elimination, Nawaz, who is known for outlandish film reviews, acknowledged in his chat with host Kiccha Sudeep that he was unable to participate in the tasks and was also unsure as to how he must conduct himself inside the house.
And keeping the tradition alive, Nawaz was given the choice to pick one of the remaining contestants and send them straight to next week's eliminations. The YouTuber picked Amulya Gowda who now finds her in the danger zone on consecutive occasions.
During the same conversation with Sudeep, Nawaz shared that Rakesh Adiga, Arun Sagar, and Roopesh Shetty currently held the best chance to win the competition. He added that although every contestant tried to use their wits on the show, the aforementioned three boasted of a different edge.
