Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9: Shocking! Aryavardhan Guruji eliminated from the show

Just as speculated, the mid-week elimination process in the finale of Bigg Boss Kannada 9 has sprung a huge surprise on the viewers. On Tuesday, December 27, the remaining 6 contestants' idyllic stay in the house came to a sudden halt when Bigg Boss announced that one of them would exit the competition abruptly and that the process of elimination would begin in the next 30 minutes. Although the viewers were already aware of the mid-week elimination, the announcement came as a huge shocker to the contestants.

The six contestants to reach the finale week were Rakesh Adiga, Roopesh Shetty, Divya Uruduga, Deepika Das, Aryavardhan, and Rupesh Rajanna. Following a rather peculiar process, Aryavardhan was eliminated from the competition, bringing his glorious run in the Bigg Boss house to a sudden end. While Aryavardhan wasn't around to express his emotions over the exit, his close friend and fellow OTT champion Roopesh Shetty was inconsolable as he burst into tears.

Aryavardhan, along with Roopesh Shetty, Rakesh Adiga, and Saanya Iyer, began his Bigg Boss journey with the OTT edition, which was concluded a few days before the ninth season began. While Saanya was evicted in week #7, the other three waded through the tough competition and ended up as the finalists.

The elimination process was carried out using an elevated platform in the lawn area which resembled a building elevator or a lift. Each contestant was made to stand on the platform which first lowered them into hiding and then raised them back to the ground level - if a contestant was not raised back by the platform, it meant that they were eliminated. The process was repeated multiple times to build tension until it was revealed that Aryavardhan had fallen prey to the unconventional method.

The finale will take place on Friday and Saturday with Kiccha Sudeep returning to his hosting duties. As of now, Rakesh Adiga and Roopesh Shetty appear to be the frontrunners to lift the trophy but one could expect a surprise to be in store. More updates to follow soon.
