Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9: Vinod Gobbaragala bids an emotional goodbye to the show

Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 continues to throw up surprises as yet another strong contender gets eliminated from the show. Vinod Gobbaragala, who had entered the show as one of the 9 newbie contestants, becomes the 7th elimination of the ongoing season.

The previous week's nomination process saw as many as 8 contestants facing elimination which also included a few favourites such as Arun Sagar, Anupama Gowda, and Divya Uruduga, along with Rupesh Rajanna, Deepika Das, Aryavardhan, Prashanth Sambargi, and Vinod Gobbaragala. 

Interestingly, Rupesh Rajanna, who had been riding on thin ice all along, has somehow gained prominence in the past couple of weeks and, in fact, looks well placed currently to make a significant impact in the competition. On the other hand, contestants such as Prashanth Sambargi and Aryavardhan have featured in almost every nomination list so far but managed to scrape through nevertheless - it would be interesting to see how far they go in the competition. Deepika Das, who was only recently eliminated but beckoned back as a wild-card entry, would hope that her second stint in the current season is more fruitful.

So, in this vein, Vinod Gobbaragala seemed like the weakest of the lot and the despite the great camaraderie he shared with his housemates, the elimination turned out to be inevitable. As a contender, Vinod was able to prove his might by performing to his fullest potential in the team tasks and remaining reasonably under the radar throughout his stay: the elimination, however, was a hard pill to swallow for Vinod who looked inconsolable while exiting.

During his chat with Kiccha Sudeep post the elimination, a visibly emotional Vinod Gobbaragala spoke about wanting to finish in the top 5 and the fact that he is unsure of what went wrong as far as his gameplay is concerned. He would add that Rakesh Adiga, Amulya Gowda, and Arun Sagar.
