Bigg Boss Kannada week #2 highlights: Jashwanth is the new house king, Somanna Machimada the best performer!

Another intriguing week of action and drama comes to an end inside the Bigg Boss Kannada OTT house. As another elimination day beckons us all and Kiccha Sudeep readies himself for a new round of hosting duties, let's take a quick look at what unfolded on Day #13:

All hail captain Jashwanth Bopanna!

Fashion model, dancer, and fitness instructor Jashwanth Bopanna entered season 1 of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT as one of the favorites and looks like he is living up to the promise. Jashwanth walked inside the Bigg Boss house along with his fellow Roadies contestant Nandini and many reckoned their mutual understanding and prior reality show experience would help them remain top contenders throughout. 

And making one long stride in that exact direction is Mr. Bopanna who was recently adjudged the second house captain, following a set of tricky tasks en route.

Jashwanth was one of the three finalists (along with Chaitra Hallikeri and Jayshree Aradhya) who battled it out for the captain's throne in a special task organized on Day #13. Thanks to his nimbleness and a clear headspace he won the task without any stiff competition and took over the captaincy duties from Arjun Ramesh. Jashwanth relished his victory by sprawling merrily on his new bed and enjoying all the additional privileges that he would get as a captain.

Rakesh Adiga drops truth bombs!

Rakesh Adiga is quite easily one of the frontrunners as far as Bigg Boss Kannada OTT is concerned and the Kannada rapper & actor has been proving his mettle time and again through his measured performance. In the most recent episode, the contestants took part in a rather interesting task wherein they were required to entertain one another in their own little ways. With a small stage surrounded by the facade of a massive television, contestants formed little groups on a whim and offered doses of entertainment to their housemates and the vast audience.

While Roopesh Shetty channeled his inner Tiger Dancer and presented an exquisite version of the Hulivesha (grooving to the music from Rakshit Shetty's Ulidavaru Kandanthe), Aryavardhan Guruji offered his friendly zodiac service to all the contestants. The best of the performances, however, came from Rakesh Adiga who bust out his rap skills and mesmerized everyone with his song on Money!

Somanna the Best, Spoorthi the Worst

And carrying the tradition on, the contestants found themselves picking the best and the worst performances of the week. Somanna Machimada, the inimitable news anchor, won the most votes to be judged as the Best Performer of the week with Spoorthi Gowda unanimously chosen as the Worst. Spoorthi expressed her disapproval following the voting process by saying that she doesn't consider herself to be the worst of the lot that week and went on to add that a few of the contestants were far more deserving of that title.

Somanna, however, faced some tough competition with Saaniya Iyer winning some of the votes. The two toiled it out in a recent task and garnered a lot of respect from their housemates.
