Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 March 31, 2023 Written Update: Akhil Marar becomes the first captain of the house

Early in the morning a little after 3 AM, Reneesha is seen in the kitchen and grabs a few things, including a papaya and a bowl. Cerena and Anjuz laugh, and the former claims that they were forced to do it given how hungry they were.

After the morning alarm sounds, Angeline complains to Gopika about how she could not sleep well last night owing to the noise made by her roommates, and says that she was forced to move to the couch. Sreedevi and Cerena also discuss the same, and Angeline says that even though people claim that they care for her, they rarely practise it.

Sruthi Lakshmi is given the task to teach the rest of the housemates different dance steps. The housemates have fun with the exercise. As a continuation of the ‘Enta Katha’ task, Rinosh is chosen to share the story of his life with the contestants next. The singer talks about how he was born and brought up in Bangalore, and his school days and his supportive family.

He talked about the hilarious story of how he produced his first song, which his mother had to pawn her ornaments for, which did not do well. He also opened up about how he had used the money his parents gave for college and used it to work on another song, with the help of his friend. The song became his first viral hit. Im a Mallu was the song that came after, which featured in the film, Nonsense. Rinosh also starred in the film and composed songs for the same as well, and the artist spoke of how he had been cheated during the process of developing the film.

Rinosh then went on to talk about how each of the housemates deserved better and asked everyone to play fair. Rinosh also declared that he has the potential to be a pan Indian superstar, and he would also achieve his dream. He then went on to rap a few lines, to the delight of housemates.

Anjuz was the next housemate to talk about their story. She spoke of how her mother always wanted to have a boy child, and was disappointed when Anjuz was born. She spoke of how she was a tomboy and wanted to live life as a boy, and how she wanted to change her gender, and had even approached doctors for her transition. She had backed out of fear, and opened up about how she was not attracted to men.

The captaincy task finally lands on the table and Akhil and Nadira are asked to choose helpers for the same, and they choose, Midhun and Reneesha respectively. The captaincy nominees were required to balance on rotating disks with balls being thrown against them. They were required to put the balls that came their way onto the disks. Akhil won the task.

The new captain is asked to divide the housemates into different teams to take up different chores around the house. Anjuz, Vishnu, Angeline and Sagar are the captains of the different teams.

Rinosh and Angeline are asked to don their jail attires and be imprisoned. The duo try to make the most of their sentence. Akhil and Nadira get into an argument. At night, Angeline and Rinosh discover that they have food kept aside for them inside the jail. They are visited by some of the housemates during visiting hours.
