Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 promo: Pirates and treasure hunters galore as the housemates turn seafarers

Bigg Boss is known for the fun range of activities and tasks the housemates are put through every day, and the current season of Bigg Boss Malayalam is no different. And it seems that one of the most fantastical tasks will take place inside the house tonight.

A new promo for the upcoming episode of the show reveals the house being transformed into a far reaching sea. Mohanlal takes viewers inside the transformed activity area, where we can see boats, ships, black flags and an area covered in cotton balls under a blue hued light, to mimic the sea. The contestants will be divided into two teams- that of pirates and treasure seekers. The latter will be tasked with searching for hidden treasures within the ‘waters’.

The previous episode of the show saw the housemates have to deal with the aftermath of Sagar and Akhil’s row, which had led Mohanlal to abruptly end the episode. Bigg Boss decided that Sagar would not become captain this time and both he and Akhil were nominated for evictions in the coming week. The episode also saw the first wild card entrant of the season, Hanan, make her way onto the show as well. The new contestant was not able to win over all the housemates, but became quick friends with others. Monday’s episode also saw the housemates celebrate Gopika’s birthday. Not only did she receive a lovely video message from her family, Bigg Boss also arranged for a cake to be sent into the house, which she cut with everyone.
