Bigg Boss Malayalam, the highly popular reality show hosted by superstar Mohanlal, is set to return to the television screens with its highly anticipated sixth season. Even though nothing much has been revealed about the premiere date of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 yet, OTT Play exclusively learned that the makers are keen to launch the show somewhere between February and March 2024.
Recently, the makers dropped a new promo of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 on social media recently. The exciting promo, which features host Mohanlal along with a few others, suggests that the new season of the reality show will undergo a major revamp, and will have a lot of new elements. The superstar host, who unleashed his mischievous side in the promo, assures that Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 is going to be an ‘unpredictable’ season.
The hilarious new promo of BBM6 features a boy named Appu Kuttan, who is seen obsessively preparing for an exam, to only end up on a hospital bed after meeting with an accident. Mohanlal, who then enters the frame, is seen having a fun interaction with the boy. He tells the boy that life is always unpredictable. Later, he faces the audience and says that Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 is going to be more unpredictable. However, nothing much has been revealed about the premiere date or show timings, in the new promo.
As reported earlier, the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 house is currently under construction in the EVP Film City of Chennai. For the uninitiated, the fifth season of the popular reality show was held in Mumbai. The makers shifted the location to Mumbai, considering the busy shooting schedule of host Mohanlal who was shooting for his recently released period fantasy film Malaikottai Vaaliban during that time.
Even though the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 contestants list is not finalized yet, the grapevine suggests that many popular TV stars including Beena Antony, Anshitha Anji, Jithu Venugopal, and social media influencers including Amala Shaji are a part of the show. Along with the celebrities, the show is also expected to have one or two contestants, who are selected from the common audiences. The show will air on the Asianet channel and will stream 24/7 on the renowned OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar.
