Bigg Boss Malayalam 7: Why did Aryan’s friend Poojitha Menon urge Mohanlal to take ‘strong action’ in open letter

Bigg Boss Malayalam season 7 (streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium) has been seeing more aggression and drama as the popular reality show completes 67 days. However, Shanavas’ 'violent' behaviour towards Aryan Kathuria inside the BB house has riled up his friends and family. His friend Poojitha Menon, an actress and TV anchor, has written to Bigg Boss Malayalam host Mohanlal, seeking 'strong action' against this.

Pledging support for Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 contestant Aryan Kathuria, Poojitha Menon penned an open letter to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, seeking action over an incident involving Shanavas and Aryan. Recently, Shanavas had shoved Aryan during a verbal spat between the two. Poojitha pointed out that this is not the first time that such an incident has happened, and if 'strong action' is not taken, it would create a wrong precedent.

“What happened recently inside the house, involving Aryan and his co-contestant Shanavas, has left many of us deeply unsettled,” she said in the letter posted on Facebook.

Stating that this is not the first time such an incident has happened, Poojitha said, “Shanavas had previously displayed similar violent behaviour towards Akbar, and now once again towards Aryan.”

The actress, who has featured in movies such as Nee Ko Njaa Cha, also pointed out another incident between Gizele and Anumol when both were penalised, “disregarding the initial act of assault that Gizel had endured.”

Gizele, who was found to be on good terms with Aryan until recently, was evicted from the Bigg Boss House during the last weekend episode.

In her long letter to Mohanlal, Poojitha further said, "We urge you, Lal Sir, to step in and ensure that strong action is taken, not just for Aryan, but for the culture the show creates,” she said, while pointing out that such a step would send out the right message to the future contestants that the “Bigg Boss house is a safe space”.

The incident happened after Aryan completed the secret task given by Bigg Boss. Aryan's fans are hoping that Mohanlal would address the issue during the upcoming weekend episode.
