Bigg Boss Malayalam is gearing to make a comeback to screens this month, with a fresh set of contestants and tasks that await them. The Malayalam version of the popular reality television show, hosted by Mohanlal, is entering its fourth season. For the first time in the show’s history, audiences will be given the chance to stay with their favourite contestants on the show 24/7, as it will be available to stream 24 hours a day.
The fourth season of Bigg Boss Malayalam will premiere on March 27, Sunday at 7 pm. The show can be watched on Asianet and will be available to stream on Disney+Hotstar. On the latter, the show will be streamed 24/7. Mohanlal, who had hosted the previous 3 seasons of the show, will return as the host for the latest season as well.
The house this season is set in Mumbai. In a conversation with TOI, the project head of the show’s new season, Abhishek Mukherjee said that the new house is similar to the one found in the Marathi and Hindi versions of the show. The new house also features a balcony this season, and a tree inside as well. He also teased that other surprises related to the house are in store.
The list of contestants who will feature in the upcoming season has not been released yet, though it is speculated that musician Jassie Gift, comedian Sooraj Thelakkad and Lakshmi Priya are a part of the show.
The previous two seasons of Bigg Boss Malayalam had witnessed disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the second season was stopped without a winner being declared, the third season was also interrupted and filmed separately on a later date. Sabumon Abdusamad had won the first season, while Manikkuttan won the third season of the show.
