Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 (streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium) has chosen its next captain for the new week. Abhilash has become the captain after emerging victorious in the latest captaincy task, beating Gizele and Oneal. Abhilash, who is also known as Abhisree, had previously also taken part in captaincy tasks but failed to emerge as the winner.

Abhilash is Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7’s new captain

Oneal, Abhilash and Gizele were selected to compete in the captaincy task, which was quite unlike the other captaincy tasks. The contestants had to arrange the balls, as per the colours, on four rows. The catch was that contestants could only pick only one ball at a time. Though all three played well, Abhilash was more enthusiastic and completed the task to become the captain of the sixth week of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7. Last week’s captain, Nevin, declared that Abhilash is the new captain, and Bigg Boss too later made the announcement. Abhilash was seen elated and celebrating with other contestants.

Abhilash then took up the captaincy roles and went on to select the housemates for various duties. However, this led to some skirmishes between the contestants. It would be interesting to see how Abhilash would perform as a captain.

Bigg Boss Malayalam nomination

Not just the captain, the new week also came with yet another list of nominations. This time, as many as 13 contestants have been nominated as per the latest update. Noora has escaped getting nominated after she won the Keeradayudham task. Aryan Kathuria, Praveen, Lakshmi, Masthani, Sabumon, Akbar, Nevin, Aneesh, Anumol, Rena Fathima, Binny, and Adila have been included in the nomination list. Interestingly, Abhilash is also on the nomination list. But it remains to be seen if he gets immunity from nomination on account of being a captain, as Bigg Boss had earlier hinted at changes.

On the other hand, Shaitya Santhosh is the latest contestant to be evicted from the Mohanlal-led reality show.
