Bigg Boss OTT 2: Salman Khan replaces Karan Johar to host the much-awaited reality show on JioCinema

Salman Khan has finally confirmed that he will be hosting the second edition of Bigg Boss OTT. Karan Johar hosted the first season, which debuted on Voot in 2021. The superstar, who regularly hosts the reality show on TV, has replaced the filmmaker. Now, Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 will stream on JioCinema in June.

In the newly released promo, Salman, donning a stylish look, is heard saying, "Main lekar aa raha hoon, Bigg Boss OTT. Toh Dekhta Jaye India."

As reported earlier by Pinkvilla, Salman filmed the Bigg Boss OTT 2 promotional video on Saturday, May 20, in a studio in Mumbai. The team is in the process of roping in the contestants.

According to rumours, the second season of Bigg Boss OTT will premiere in June 2023. However, we have yet to hear the official release date. If the rumours are true, the contest will feature several well-known actors and actresses from the Hindi film and television industries. According to reports, the show will be on the air for at least three months. Upcoming promos for the show will likely provide further details about Bigg Boss OTT 2.

Meanwhile, Salman will also return to host Bigg Boss 17, likely in the last few months of the year. The superstar has become synonymous with the reality show over the past decade, and fans can't wait to watch him host the OTT version. Karan, who had hosted the first season, received mixed reviews for his hosting skills, with some, calling him a "biased" host.

In terms of Salman's upcoming projects, Maneesh Sharma will be directing Tiger 3. The film, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, is slated to release during the Diwali weekend this year.
