At the beginning of the 26th episode, Jad approached Jiya, asking if he could use some space in her area to store his belongings. However, Jiya declined, stating that she needed her things within reach and couldn't accommodate his request.
Jad later discussed this interaction with Avinash Sachdev, expressing his belief that Jiya had become arrogant since becoming the house captain. Avinash advised Jad that a captain should exhibit humility and understanding, to which Jad concurred.
During the captaincy task, Jiya removed Jad from the competition, accusing him of playing a diplomatic game. Subsequently, Avinash questioned Jad about his feelings towards Jiya, to which Jad explained that he wasn't angry.
When Jiya was present, Jad said that if someone perceived him as diplomatic, it was their opinion, and it didn't bother him. Avinash advised Jiya not to address the issue with Jad at that moment, as he was upset.
However, Jiya approached Jad later to inquire if he was angry with her. Jad expressed his disappointment but claimed that it didn't matter before walking away. Jiya felt let down by Jad's reaction, but Falaq Naazz attempted to explain that Jad was hurt because it was the first time she had gone against him.
Falaq made an effort to convince Jad to take his time and not hold on to his anger. Jad said that he considered Jiya his daughter but felt she didn't deserve that title. He revealed that Jiya had ranked him 9th in a previous task and now had an opportunity to prove their bond.
Later, Jiya finally decided to have a conversation with Jad, in which he said that she couldn't expect him to smile after what she had done. Jad stated that Jiya had chosen Avinash over him, whereas he had always chosen her. He questioned what more he could have done for her and mentioned how Jiya had chosen Avinash solely to prove her friendship.
Jiya attempted to explain that she hadn't betrayed him and that the captaincy decision was separate from their relationship. She expressed her hurt over Jad's newfound friendship with Bebika Dhurve.
Jad told Jiya that he didn't appreciate what she had done to him and was shocked by her decision to eliminate him from the captaincy race. He stated that although it was now okay since her loyalty to Avinash had been proven.
Jiya lost her composure and reminded Jad that he considered her like a daughter, yet he was reacting in this manner. She told him that she doesn’t have a father and has never called someone a father. But she gave Jad that position. “You have a daughter, and I don't have a father; that's the difference,” Jiya added.
Jad explained that he had kept his feelings to himself on numerous occasions to keep Jiya happy, and she mentioned doing the same. After a lengthy discussion, Jiya walked away, visibly emotional. Eventually, Jad consoled her.
