Sana Makbul, who won Bigg Boss OTT 3, has opened up about her liver disease. On Bharti Singh's podcast, the actress revealed that her health keeps fluctuating.

Sana Makbul emerged as the winner of Anil Kapoor-hosted Bigg Boss OTT 3. While she is professionally doing well, the actress has been struggling in regards to her health. On Bharti Singh's podcast, the reality show winner revealed that she is suffering from a liver disease. The actress shared she has an autoimmune condition similar to that of Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Sana mentioned that she has been on medication for it since 2020.
According to The Indian Express, on Bharti Singh's podcast, Sana Makbul revealed she recently turned vegan due to her health reasons. The actress shared that she is an 'autoimmune hepatitis patient'.

"I have a liver disease, it was diagnosed in 2020. It has no specific symptoms. In this, my body cells are attacking the organ, so in my case, it’s sometimes Lupus; it hits your kidneys or causes arthritis. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has myositis, which is a muscle condition. I have it with the liver," said Sana. The actress further spoke about being on medication for nearly five years.
"I take steroids, suppressants, or some medicines. It’s a lifestyle disorder, but with the autoimmune condition, the liver condition is a tricky thing. My health keeps fluctuating, I don’t know if this can be cured completely," she added.
On the work front, Sana Makbul has done several acting projects and participated in a few reality shows. The actress played the role of Lavanya Kashyap in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Sana was also seen as Riya Tootejaa in Aadat Se Majboor. It can be streamed on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium. The actress also did a television show, Vish, where she essayed the role of Dr. Aliya Sanyal.
Apart from Bigg Boss OTT 3, Sana participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 and Khatra Khatra Khatra. The actress was one of the semi-finalists of the Rohit Shetty-hosted show. Her upcoming projects are Kadhal Conditions Apply and BRUH.
